The east strip's spine. SR 826 leaves the expressway at the Golden Glades, runs as 167th Street, bends into 163rd Street near NE 8th Avenue, crosses the FEC tracks and Biscayne Boulevard, widens to eight lanes, crosses the Oleta River and splits into paired drawbridges at the Intracoastal. About 64,500 vehicles a day east of the Golden Glades falling to 46,000 near A1A. The street is placed at 1956, the year the Mall at 163rd Street opened on it, the first dated event the map documents on the spine.
